Annual Club Championships

We would like to thank all of you, children, spectators, organisers, timekeepers and guest for the part you paid in our annual club championships, we are sure you will agree they went very well over the 2 days with some excellent races. We would also like to thank all of the people who donated prizes for the raffles.

Results from the championships are available for you to collect in the spectator’s area.

All the first prize engraved trophies will be available for you to collect in the spectator’s area on splash night (20^th December, Tuesday).

The photographs that were taken of the children being presented with the trophies will be available for you to look at in the next couple of weeks and if required we will arrange for prints to be made.

Friendly Gala at Selwyn Jones, Newtown Le willows

Hindley took part in this gala at Selwyn Jones pool and we are pleased to announce that the team won the competition. One very pleasing point was that all the younger swimmers won all of their races; let’s hope that this bodes well for the future. Well done everybody.

Club Fees for 2006

The fees for 2006 will be £130.00 for the first child in a family, £120.00 for the second and £110.00 for the third, any more children are free. This is the first time the fees have increased since 2003 and it is needed to cover the increased cost of hiring the pool.

Help needed in running the club

We are currently looking for volunteers to help us run the club, the club as been running now for 25 years and to continue we need help from as many people as possible. No matter how big or small your contribution will be it will help the club to survive. You could join the committee, help the little ones in learning to swim, raise money for the club, help at the pool side, or anything else that will help us run the club smoothly. Please make your self known to any of the committee members; you help will be greatly appreciated.

The next meeting of the committee will be 25^th January at 8.00pm in Hindley conservative club.

Christmas Period

The final session for the club will be the splash night on Tuesday 20^th December; the club will reopen on Tuesday 3^rd January. We all hope you have a fantastic Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

Club Tracksuits

The club shop sells many items on behalf of the club, swimming costumes, goggles, floats, pull boys and club tee shirts. We are considering having club tracksuit tops made, (some of the children liked the ones Newtown had at the gala a couple of weeks ago). If you think this will be a good idea let any of us know and if we get enough interest we can have some made.
